Abstract
As part of an analysis on how the educational level of those who graduate from college influences their social and cultural conditions, this article presents a detailed review of the main laws and policies that, since the early 1980s, have been created and promoted in Colombia with the purpose of increasing quality of life and wellness among its citizens by giving and guaranteeing access to quality education. Colombian public policies have been consistent in having the education in the center of their foundations for social transformation, but at the same time, it has been inconsistent in their abilities to make this possible, by generating inequities, inequalities, and injustice in general. We have concluded that many efforts have been made in terms of education in relation to global changes, but without the clarity and continuity that is really needed.Downloads
