The objective of this research is based on solving mathematical problems fromthe School Garden and the use of ICT with students from third, fourth and fifthgrades of the Clavellinas Educational Institution. The qualitative methodology ofparticipatory action research type applied in this study favors an activeinteraction of the participating agents and subjects. The sample was selectedintentionally or by convenience and the data collection instruments used wereinterviews, surveys, participant observations, and didactic sequence. Theapplied research demonstrates that the articulation of the school garden as apedagogical strategy allows significant advances in the development of problemsolving in the five areas of thinking: numerical, spatial, metric, random andvariational, and also recognizes the importance of acquiring good eating habitswith the consumption of vegetables in the diet. The research validates thepedagogical strategy of articulating the school garden to the area ofmathematics, since students acquire skills and abilities to formulate and solvemathematical problems in a creative and competent manner in context.Published
