Research Data
Sophia recommends, without requiring it, that authors make the data underlying their findings available in an open-access repository with a persistent identifier, such as a DOI, unless ethical, legal or confidentiality reasons prevent it.
Authors are encouraged to include a data availability statement at the end of the article, stating where and under what conditions the data can be accessed, or why they cannot be shared. Where the research involves human participants, data must be anonymised and their release must be covered by informed consent.
Data availability is not a condition for acceptance and does not influence the editorial decision.
