Abstract

This article describes common characteristics of emerging companies (startups) and their innovation state in Argentine, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, as scenaries and productivity States in the strategies of developing economies; likewise, it is the result of the analysis of trends in growing sectors and specific profiles of startupers or innovative entrepreneurs, as well as public policies favorable to entrepreneurship. This article also continues with the discussion on the region capacity and its member countries to introduce innovations in markets, thus creating dynamism on the important potential for growth by means of promotion and creation of new technology-based companies, as well as their potential connectivity through information networking and cooperative work. There is still little evidence properly systematized regarding progress of this phenomenon in developing countries, and how an integration of forces may be promoted from the academy, public policy, clusters and entrepreneurial and innovative business culture; therefore, reading the territory is proposed, parting from an analysis and general review of internal and external issues of promoting the creation of these companies in Latin American countries, as the starting point to see trends guiding experiences of the region in start-up companies or “emergingâ€, supported by technology
